Reality shows erase the boundaries between the public & private . People are nosy . Reality shows can surprise . They add up to great storytelling . They have ideas that grab us in some fundamental place. Soon they are going to be the network that humiliates people . Ironically , they are unreal . Key moments are staged . They are unscripted drama just like sports . Soon , producers will soon run out of ideas and the viewers will get bored . They will face competition from other forms of programming
