Reality TV
Reality television, dominating the tube right now, is about the real antics of real people featuring people getting insulted , humbled and humiliated . They are profitable as it is low in cost and are popular with viewers . It erase the boundaries between the public and the private . People are voyeurs and reality shows can genuinely surprise and adds up to great storytelling . Reality shows grab us in some fundamental place . A great irony is that they are unscripted drama and Key moments are staged just like sport . Reality shows will always have a place on television but the prospects are dim . Producer will soon run out of ideas and viewers will get bored . They ruin reputation of their network and will slowly face competition from other programmes from other forms of programming .
